Delaney Romaniello, DVM

Dr. Delaney, our newest Associate Veterinarian, is joining the Torrington Animal Hospital team in June of 2024! She grew up in New Milford, Connecticut, where she decided at age 6 to be a vet. It’s the only career with animals a child knows about, but she stuck with it and everything worked out! Dr. Delaney attended Western New England University, obtaining a dual bachelor of science degree in Biology and Health Science in 2020. She received a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024.

Dr. Delaney is very excited to move back home after four years away and is looking forward to becoming part of the community at Torrington Animal Hospital. She loves all aspects of general practice, especially in seeing young patients through every milestone of life as they grow up with their families. She has special interests in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, radiology, and ultrasonography and is looking forward to learning as much as possible in all aspects of veterinary medicine from the exceptional team at Torrington Animal Hospital.

In her free time, Dr. Delaney enjoys being a lizard in the sun, training her dogs, playing sports, and planning (br/l)unch with her friends and family. She lives with her two dogs — Sherlock, a senior beagle mix with no sense of self preservation, and Jake, a black and white spotted Catahoula mix with limited access to the family brain cell
